Noota Saxophone Duo

Noota Saxophone Duo is a young and international duo formed by David Cristóbal Litago (Spanish) and Marijke Schröer (Dutch). Both saxophonist started their 'Master of Music' in 2009 with saxophonist Arno Bornkamp in the prestigious 'Conservatory of Amsterdam'. In 2011 they received with succes their master of music titels. 

The repertoire of Noota contains original works, transcriptions and new compositions, the last one includes compositions especially composed for the talented duo. David and Marijke play on different instruments and as a result in different occupations in divergent musical styles; from Romanticism, Modernism, Classicism till Baroque and with compositions of for example Christian Lauba, Paul Hindemith, Ludwig van Beethoven and Nicolai Paganini. 

Noota Saxophone Duo distinguishes themselves by their enormous virtuosity and interpretative qualities based on a lot of experience in chamber music. They realized concerts in important concert halls of Holland and Spain a.o. Festival Terug naar het Begin, Sonsbeekfestival, Festival Classique live on radio4 and Casa de Cultura Villalgordo.
