Noota Saxophone Duo
Saxophonists David Cristóbal Litago and Marijke Schröer form the Noota Saxophone Duo. They met during their studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and through the Melisma Saxophone Quartet, in which they both play.
Armed with a car full of saxophones and an iPad full of music, Noota loves to travel to the most diverse concert venues. Their performances feature a varied program, accompanied by engaging stories and explanations about the different types of saxophones. The duo has performed at Festival Classique, Sonsbeekfestival, Casa de Cultura Villalgordo del Jucar, and De Oosterpoort in Groningen, among others. They have also appeared on Radio 4 multiple times and frequently collaborate with composers. Recently, Dolf de Kinkelder composed Nota Bene especially for them, utilizing no fewer than six different types of saxophones — from bass to sopranino. In 2025, they recorded their debut CD, which will soon be released under the TRPTK label. |
